Clicking when moving from clip to clip

Clicking when moving from clip to clip was created by Parkinson
I'm cutting together a load of interview clips. The sound is captured fine, but each time a new clip comes in, I hear a tiny "click" noise.
I never got this when I was editing on iMovie.
Is there a setting I can change or a technique I can use to remove the clicks?
I recorded audio with video on a Seinhesser radio microphone.
Many thanks.

Use the fader and fade in/out just one frame. That does the trick for me.

set the display-options to 'show waveform'
zoom-in into the max:
does it show a 'click'? some peaky waveform?
if not, something's wrong …
do you handle optimized or proxy clips?

I've tried fading in a frame.
There is no peaky wave form.
All of the media is optimized.
When I put a transition in there, it takes away the click.
I would still want to find out why Final Cut is making that click and iMovie is not, so that I don't have to use transitions all the time.
If anyone else has experienced this problem or knows of a solution, please post here.
Thanks

If you need a transition, then a one frame fade wasn't enough.
The click doesn't show up in the waveform. It is just there (for whatever reason).
However: I haven't had the click for quite a while, and mostly only when I was blading clips. What version are you using?

With anything weird, always best to delete your preferences. I use Preference Manager which is cheap and saves digging around in my library file every time. Here's the manual way:
Point 9 on deleting prefs here

so, the 'click' is not really there, but 'made'.-
just a stab in the dark:
• your Project and your clips do have the same format, esp. same frame-rate?
• your source is not, by chance, an iPhone …?
