I always want to mention Izzyvideos excellent tutorial. The good thing is that it is free, but the downside is that it is almost two years old and so a bit dated.
All the basics are still there though.

macProVideo.com and Ripple Training are the best online.
Apple authorized training courses are the absolute best, as you have an experienced trainer to bounce questions and issues off of in person.
Everyone will have a different opinion, though.

I agree with Ben. I recommend also the Apple authorized training courses for serious learning. As the books with material are now available thru iBooks. I have all of them.

I want to mention also the Ripple Training iPad version , which has good value for the money. 2 hour course for $1.99.

I agree with Ben here, At least with Rippletraining you can shoot those guys andemail and even get answer. Try that with the usual YouTube tutorials.

There was a question to their Smoke tutorial, and I got an answer within one (in numbers: 1) day later directly from Autodesk support. That was great!

@Soundvise: is the $1.99 version the same, full version I paid 30 bucks or so for the iTunes download, or is it just the portal you pay for and the actual tutorials cost extra?

I'm a big fan of Sam Mestman's tutorials on We Make Movies ( themovieswemake.com/tutorials/ ), but they cover more specific things, no basics. He's tips around a RED Camera Workflow are great, and he skips the basics, to give you more specific workflow tips.

I've been a pretty happy customer of both Larry Jordans and Ripple Trainings tutorials.
