OK, please forgive me if I should know the answer to my question, but I'm not sure if the problem is due to my own ignorance or some weird technological glitch. Anyway, I was working on a film using Final Cut Pro X on one computer. I successfully transferred the footage to an SD card and just inserted the card into my laptop in order to work on the footage on my personal computer. I tried to import the footage into my Final Cut X but it wouldn't/couldn't import my current event, just my original footage. This has happened before but I'm not sure what the problem is...can someone help me out? It just won't import the current event and I'm not sure why. OK, please help! Thanks!

So you copied the whole event to that SD card, right? For FCPX to find it the event has to be in a folder named "Final Cut Events" on root level of your external hard disk or in the movies-folder on your internal drive (not recommended).
Try copying the event from the SD card into that folder. You could probably reorder the structure on your SD as well creating a root level "Final Cut Events" folder but I don't think that working from an SD works well.
Hope this makes sense and helps.
