Hi Guys,
I'm using iShowU to screecast some video. I set it to 1080p and when I put it in Final Cut Pro X, it tells me it doesn't recognise the format and do I want to use it at 1080p and 24 FPS (The settings it was recorded at). When I playback clips, it looks fuzzy. I let it render and it still looks fuzzy. When I share / export it, the quality is still pretty poor. I transcode the Media and select Optimise media.
Can anyone diagnose this problem?
As a second question, do you guys find FCP X very buggy? My version just keeps crashing for the weirdest little things. I'm running it on a new Macbook Pro Retina, so it should have more than enough juice to get the job done.
Thanks to anyone who offers assistance on the above.

Open one of the files in the QT player and post a screen shot of the movie inspector. Let's see exactly what you're talking about.
Give the full specs of your system. rMBP is only one component. What drives are you using?
No the application does not crash often. Premiere crashes more on my machine.

Hi Tom, I've just watched the video back and realised I'm talking absolute nonsense. It is only blurry in the Inspector while it is playing (It's still blurry after it renders). When I export it however, it clears up nicely.
Do you know why it may be that it's still fuzzy in Final Cut Pro x even after it renders?
In terms of spec, it's a Macbook Pro Retina display, powering a Thunderbolt sceen. 2.7GHz Intel Core i7. 16Gb 1600 MHz DDR3. FCP is 10.0.8.
Thanks for your help.

You may have your playback settings set to "Better Performance" instead of "High Quality". You can toggle the PB settings in Prefs.
