I will continue my wave of weird questions

All media files are in the folder Original Media, sometimes as a alias, if you do not have crossed in the copy media
These references are sometimes named with a suffix which I cannot understand why, the system and what they mean?
A file could be named; MVI_0064. mov and the next is called MVI_0065 (fcp1) .mov
or KLAP_1T001 (2) (id) (fcp1) .wav
or
GOPR0001 (fcp1) .MP4
GOPR0001 (fcp2) .MP4
GOPR0001 (fcp3) .MP4
GOPR0001 (fcp4) .MP4

its not my own project, I'm playing detective and trying to understand what happened, and these are troublemakers when I relink, so anyone?

The original editor re-imported the same file four times. Since FCPX is database driven, it created distinguishable file names...ie. "fcp1...4".

I've gotten similar file names when I re-imported the same clips. It also happens if the clips are different but have the same file names.
