Exporting Keywords as a list/text was created by Doug Suiter
Hi All -
Long story short:
I would like to know how to export a list of keywords from an event in text format.
Short story long:
I am making a doco in FCPX and I have extensively key-worded about 4 hours of interviews.
I would like to export these keywords as a text list in order to arrange and group them and get a sense of how to best organise the narrative. For example I have a keyword AMBITION that could probably be grouped into a larger theme of PLANS AND GOALS. I have many, many such keywords that I would like to distill in such a manner.
Within FCPX, it is not easy move and group the keywords, so I would like to export the keywords as a text list so I can copy and paste, group and shuffle...then jump back into FCPX and re-organise based on what I have decided.
Any ideas on how I can achieve just the exporting as text part of things?

Not possible at this time. Unless someone has some utility app they've written recently.

Thanks Ben
I suspected that was the case.
For the curious my solution in the meantime was to take screen grabs of the Keywords and then use a free online OCD service (free-ocr.com). Worked perfectly, probably made easier by the high contrast of white on FCPX's dark UI.

Again, fill out the feedback form, get your friends to do it, we could see it some time if enough folks request it.

Again? Sorry I didn't realize this was a regularly requested feature, apologies if so. I did run a search before I asked. Thanks again for responding.

Yes, several of us have asked for the same feature. The more folks who request it, the more chance it will be done.
