While I tested my X-Files Pro on some other machines (which don't belong to me) I had to "hack" those machines a little bit -- nothing dangerous, just to make some things easier to view.
Several of the owners said "whow, how did you do that -- I like it". So I put together 3 of the most beloved Terminal commands into a little app which allows to execute those Terminal commands just with click of a button.

1. (One of the most beloved) change the behavior of the HelpViewer. HelpViewer always keeps the Windows above all others. This can drive you crazy, especially if you only have one monitor. With a simple click the app brings back a normal behavior. So windows are displayed as with any other app.

2. Globally modify titles of Finder windows. Using "Show in Finder" or "Reveal in Finder" may give you a lot of windows with the same titles -- can be confusing. A simple click in the app will show the real path of all folders in the title. This can make things way easier.

3. The Desktop sometimes is a bit messed up with all the "temporary" files and folders you got. For a screen recording or presentation it might be nice to have a totally clean Desktop with no files/folders visible on start of the recording/presentation. A simple click in the app will hide all stuff from the Desktop while you're still able to save/create files.

All those things can be reset to default -- so you will get the standard behavior.

It's nothing FCP X specific, but it can help when working with FCP X (or any other app).

It seems some recent OS update changed Help windows on my Mac. I can switch from them back to the app as normal. I know it wasn't always like that, no clue what changed it.
