Hi
Are there any current Final Cut X editors using AJA IO HD in their workflow?
Cheers

Yes we use it... but only in Final Cut Pro 7, AJA will not release a drive for Final Cut Pro X.

Hey thanks for commenting. I'm just wandering if you capture using the AJA VTR xchanger or go straight into FCP 7. I'm thinking of using it as a capture device from my Blackmagic ATEM TV studio in to Proress LT. I already have a matrox mxo but like the idea of the IO HD having a dedicated proress encoder, therefore not taxing the processors.

I wonder how long apple will continue to support FCP 7 in future OSX.

Cheers

It uses the same driver as the Kona cards, right? It should be compatible, should show up as an attached camera, afaik. I'm surprised if it doesn't.

Yes we use FCP7 with the AJA ioHD, I was hoping AJA would release the announced Control Room application but I think that is not coming. :(

At the moment we have halt on hard ware upgrades to see what Apple is going to release in the near future. As in a new MacPro or something in that direction. The latest we have is the AJA Io XT that runs fine FCPX over Thunderbolt.

Ben, nope it does not show up in FCPX the same with some of the earlier Kona cards. AJA is not planning any support for FCPX.
