1) When I slide the lower bar all the over to the left, theirs still this large space to the left of my project/timeline. Anyone know how I can delete it?
2) Also how do I get rid of that little film strip image going up the side of Tony Starks image at the beginning of my project? Or, is that saposta be there?

1) I'd have to see a screen shot to know what you're talking about. Instead of sliding the zoom slider, use the keyboard shortcut Shift-Z (fit to window) and see what happens.
2) That film strip image up the side shows you're either on the very first frame or very last frame of your Timeline.
3) No idea how your attached picture relates to these issues.

Hi Ben,
I know the last image didn't have anything to do with my question. It was a tester image to see if a different image would load. I had a screen shot and for some odd reason it would not load. I think it had to be converted to a Jpeg? I'm sorry, I'm not sure...
I tried again to load the screen shot in this reply so we'll see if it works this time.
Another question: How do you delete a post on this forum. I tried to do that, cuz the image wouldn't load and I failed miserably.
Thank you for your reply though, I do appreciate your efforts.

The best way to include a screenshot is to upload to an image server like photobucket.com and then copy the image url. Take that link and when posting there's a add image link button in the toolbar section of the post box.
The space in your timeline could be a 'gap' clip but not sure until we see a screenshot.

I find uploading images is a crap shoot. When they don't show up, I open them in Preview, Export as a PNG, and try again. Also, don't make them to large (frame size and file size) or they won't show up.
