Itunes and a very popular "old movie intro"... was created by Marcusb
Question #1
Is there a setting to make the Itunes avail in my FCPX? I see the Itunes and Music in the bottom right area, but nothing comes up when I click on it? I have my Itunes on Itunes Match / Icloud but know they should still show in FCPX...
Even when I click on the cloud icon to the left of the song (in Itunes) and still does not show in FCPX?
Question #2
Can anyone suggest a pre-made intro clip of the classic "old movie countdown" (kinda like the one in my Avatar, with the projector noise in the back ground, and the beeps to 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1...) I realize I can download the clip from Youtube, I was just wondering if theirs a company that has made one all ready to plug and play?
Question #3
Any one suggest any good sound effects apps? The ones that come with FCPX are ok, just wish I had more to choose from...
Thank you so much!

#1: Have you tried dragging a song directly from iTunes into the FCP X timeline?
#2: There's a good, simple leader here . It works, but it's not hi-res or anything.
#3: You want an app to make sound effects? I guess you mean you want more sound effects (not an app). You can find some pretty good free ones at freesound.org . There are also some good paid stock sites like Pond5 and FootageFirm.

What you posted is actually called an Academy Leader, the more modern version with a 2 pop is a SMPTE Leader. The 2-pop is the 1 frame of 1k tone that hits on the "2" which is 2 seconds before the first frame of picture. I am old.

Kyletron,
The dragging of the song from actual itunes worked perfectly! Thank you! I also really like the leader sample you showed me. I wish it had sound, but I can add the projector sound from my effects, but don't have those beeps in any of my effect sounds. : ( Maybe in the freesound.org they will have them.
Thank you very much!

FWIW, the beeps are just single frames of a 1k tone, you should be able to find the tone somewhere...
