Final Cut Pro Quit Unexpectedly. was created by LetThisEndNoah
As of late, I've constantly been getting the same message every single time I try exporting. FCP quits even if I merely leave it open for a half a dozen minutes, more or less.
I believe i have a few missing files and also some corrupt files/projects/events (on "My Passport" 1 Gb, as well)...
Final Cut Pro 10.0.8 - mind you (I recently updated from 10.0.7 - or some such).
I've tried reinstalling, deleting my preferences, deleting FCP and instead installing the Trial Version.
So far, all my efforts have been in vain, with a constructive result equal to nil.
My MacBook Pro, in recent times, have been shutting down much too often, telling me to restart the computer, for an error occurred (that may just be caused by my external Hard drive, my passport for mac).
All of my software updates (including FCP) are up to date.
One more thing, I reinstalled my MacBook Pro the other day.
I know not what to do.
What say you?
Specifications:
Mac OS X
Version 10.8.3
Software OS X 10.8.3 (12D78)
(I recently upgraded from Lion to
Processor: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Startup Disk: Macintosh HD
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB
130.99 GB free out of 499.25 GB
You have my thanks (I am by no means an expert, rather mediocre, so please be not too cryptic).

You're pretty short of RAM. 4G will do little more than open the empty application. If the computer is crashing to restart it sounds like a kernel panic and that is most commonly a hardware problem. I would suggest taking the system to an Apple store or service technician and add more RAM.

Hello, please could you help me with an issue of FCP X 10.0.8 unexpectedly quitting on adding any kind of video files into event or trying to play them. I have Macbook Pro Retina 15 inches top model and Mountain Lion OS (10.8.4).

What are the complete and exact specs of the video files you're talking about?
What are the specs of your computer system?
How are trying to get the video into the application? Are you using the import function?

As Usual I use Import function on Event window.
My macbook pro specs are 2.8 Ghz Intel Core i7, 16 Gb RAM
Video files I tried to import were .mov and .mp4 ones

I'm sorry but .mov and .mp4 doesn't mean shit. Please give the complete specs of your media, frame size, frame rate, codec for video and audio and sample rates.
MPEG-4 is not acceptable in most cases unless it is correctly imported from a camera or camera archive.
