How to save project on both computer and external hard drive?

When working on a project, the project is automatically saved on my computer. If something happens to the computer, I have to start all over again. I have backups of all the events, but until now I have manually taken backups of the project.
Can FCPX automatically save the project on both computer and external hard drive?
If I want to take my project to a friends computer I have to duplicate the project on the external hard drive first.
Any help, please?

You could take a look at this here :

Apparently you can tell it what drive to back up to!
Kind of like the old back up system in FCP Classic.
I have not used it personally so have no idea how good/bad it actually is.

I use CCCto backup every thing, but I use an NAS as the destination, and fcpx can´t see the NAS-disk-drive, so I just have set up an regular backup from my MAC to the NAS every-time I hit the Run in CCC Scheduler Tasks.

Hi, if you like to have the backup to a disk that FCPX can see, you need a solution to unmount it, so fcpx doesn't have problems whit mixed referees. This is the way it works for now. I don´t use it in this advanced mode my self;Neguah wrote: Serously, klausre? Nothing should be that advanced!

Here is my article, Bombich Software approved, for doing just these things with Carbon Copy Cloner.

You can also take advantage of Notifications in OS X to track your backups.
