Great way to share music between multiple editors

So we have been struggling with a way to share a music library between more than one editor and we found iTunes would not suit our needs in this respect.
We know more than one editor can access a central music library but then you are limited to only one editor being able to add and remove tracks from that iTunes library. So we came up with this solution:

We are 4 editors working with material from one central storage unity so we all need to be able to access and add tracks to a shared music folder.
In our current production we are restricted to using music from Audionetwork only. So we made an Automater action (folder action script) which looks in our "Downloads" folder for tracks containing the search term "ANW". (Image 1)

As soon as any of the four editors has downloaded a track to their local "Downloads" folder, Automater copies the file to the "Music" folder on the shared storage.
Earlier we made a "shortcut" inside FCPX to this shared music folder by simply dragging the folder into the "Music and Sound browser". (Image 2)

From now on FCPX sees any music added to the shared music folder on all four stations! (Image 3)

This is a great solution but keep in mind to set up some simple rules between editors before using this method in a effort to avoid over cluttering the music folder.
