Project Versions Take Up Huge Disc Space - Solutions?

Project Versions Take Up Huge Disc Space - Solutions? was created by Aquaholic
Hello -
Keeping versions of the project I'm working on - will be a full hour doc when complete. Have saved 4 versions to maintain copies after large sections complete. Older versions also maintain reference to different takes, but also backup. Eating huge amounts of disk space in doing so. Is there any way to have these project references / backups without the huge take on disk space. For instance, render files? Could these be deleted in older versions ... ?!
Thanks,
sp

Yes. Open old versions and delete the render files from the File Menu. I really wish Apple would make it possible to delete multiple project render files at once...

Thanks - if I would open an older project version, then, the worse case is it would just have to rerender, right? That way, the one I'm currently working on would remain rendered.
Thanks Again,

Exactly. Also, as I'm sure you've seen, you can choose to delete all render files, or just unused render files. When i'm working on a project, I'll delete the unused render files now and again to save space in case I forget to delete the render files when duplicating...
