Playhead jumps to beginning clip in event browser was created by JFilmmaker1
So I have used a fair amount of keywords to organize my event browser and clips; and I have come across a bug of some sort. I do remember seeing a post on here about it but I couldn't find it and was wondering if anybody could help me. So here's the situation:
1. I go to one of my keyword collections. (which is in list view)
2. I click on any clip besides the first one.
3. I go to mark an in point and bam it goes back to the first clip.
Was just wondering if anybody new what was causing this or if it is just a bug.

Are you running 10.0.8?

It's a bug, which was fixed in 10.0.8 but... it's only fixed in events created in 10.0.8. If you've set multiple ranges on a clip before updating to .08, the bug sticks around... So it's fixed, but it lives on in old events....
The workaround is to switch to filmstrip view, which works fine or, once you've found the clip you want in list view, click the event icon (it'll keep showing you the frame you were looking at, just from the source clip) and you can then set I/O's as usual...
Can't sleep? Try this: fcpxpert.net ;-)

I am using 10.0.8 and this event is brand new it was created in 10.0.8 not in 10.0.7. I'll try the workarounds thanks!

The workaround in the list view where you click the event and then add your in and out points does not work in this particular case. I have left feedback to Apple. Frustrating everything was working fine too! Filmstrip view it is then!

That's not the work around. The work around is to use frame view. For me it is definitely fixed in 10.0.8. Are you sure it's the play head jumping to the head of the clip or just the selection jumping up to the top of the list?

It's jumping to the top of the list. Sorry I didn't explain myself well.

Yes that is normal behavior. It would be nice if it stayed in the list.
The old bug would actually jump to the beginning of the clip itself.
