As a fresh member i dont know if anyone has talked about the old command that we had in FCP7. In many cases i missed that command , i think is a faster way to send something to motion and have it back to the FCPX's timeline.Like Adobe does w/Premiere & AE. Does anyone else need that workflow toaday? or there is something that i missed.

This is indeed a feature many people would like to see re-installed. Motion 5 is already very tightly integrated with FCPX (you can create FCPX effects, transitions etc in Motion and publish them as FCPX templates). But sending FCPX clips to Motion is not an option yet.

If Apple brings this back I hope it will be much better than the send to motion feature in FCP, because that was not a rock-steady workflow. Neither is opening PPro projects in AE. But seeing Apple's track record of adding back features in FCPX that beat any competition (keying, multi cam, RED workflow...) I'm quite confident we will get there.

Since over a year now we have been working with Smoke 2013 as primary finishing tool for our FCPX bays. Smoke is a terrific compositor and it will completely replace AE in both our post houses by the end of this year. Entire FCPX projects, even quite complex ones, open seamlessly in Smoke via FCPXML. So I guess we won't have to wait very long to see round-tripping between FCPX and Motion X, or full integration between the apps if they want to do it better than anyone else.

Bear in mind that the FCP X dev team has literally hundreds of features to work on and refine. Filling out the feedback pages helps them to prioritize what gets done first. There are years of work ahead to cover everything, as coding is a very slow process, but figuring out "how" those features should work takes even much more time. But filling out that feedback page will move something towards the top of the list faster than any thing else.
