Weird FCPX/Event Manager X Behavior was created by Don Rumsey
So I have Event Manager X and FCPX in my dock right next to each other. The way it has been is that I do my business in Event Manager then hit the move events and projects button, and it of course did what it supposed to do. Which it would open the FCPX sitting right next to it in the dock. Now yesterday it opens another FCPX icon way over to the right on the dock. The icon next to Event Manager does nothing. So FCPX is open and fully functional just in a weird way. It's bothering me. What the heck?!

Check your Applications folder, make sure there is no "Final Cut Pro Trial" application in there.

Hmmm.... Nope. There isn't one. Along with my other issue Ima thinking my whole system is on the verge of a meltdown. I have been going full bore with projects for months. Maybe I need to hit the reset button with the OSX.

First, verify you have 10-15% free space on all drives.
Run Disk Utility on all drives.
Run Disk Warrior.
I do these once a month, haven't had any serious issues in years.

Well I solved this one. When the "new" FCPX icon came up. I deleted the old one sitting next to Event Manager. Then moved the "new" one there. Right clicked and selected keep in dock. Problem solved. Still weird it was doing that.
