HELP LOOKING FOR A KEY STROKE was created by simon_hutchings
I am looking for a key stroke that allows me to replace from start edit but keep the attributes of the clip that I am replacing.
In the series that I am editing there is a recipe section showing how to cook fish (its a fishing show). At the end of the segment, we show a photo of the final dish with an animated background and a lower third title showing the recipe title and website. I currently just copy the attributes - replace the photo - then paste the attributes. I was wondering if there was a shortcut to this process.
Thanks for the help!

There currently is no single function to replace a clip while keeping the clips attributes. (Color, transform, crop, effects, etc.)
It's a 3 step procedure right now.
1. click on the clip you want to replace and <command-C> to copy the clip and attributes.
2. Replace the clip from the browser with a replace edit (From Start, From End, or Replace Clip)
3. click on the new clip and <Cntrl-Command-V> to paste attributes.
a. pick the attributes you wish to pass along to the new clip.

What specific attributes do you want to keep? If it is only effects and color grading, try applying filters with an Adjustment Layer.
