Optical flow problems

Hi,
sometimes selecting the optical flow quality in a slowmo clip, FCPROX does not render that specific section. I thought the problem was related to different framerate between the clip and the sequence, but no... it happens randomly.

FCPRO does not render until I switch back to normal quality... any suggestion?

It's quite frustrating... same thing for former smoothcam missing effect using interlaced clips :(

SmoothCam is still there, and works pretty well.

Yeah but it does not work (at least for me and several users) with interlaced clips... I need to convert them to progressive using Jes... no way to deinterlace inside FCPROX...

Plus the old smoothcam reported the % of frame zoom required for stabilization, that was quite useful in order to understand the final result quality and so which clip was the best choice.

Um, you can indeed tweak the Stabilization parameters in X. And it's quite improved from version 7. I've not had any problems with it so far, even with interlaced footage. But it's very rare I use interlaced footage anymore. And it should not be relied on that much. If you have that much shaky footage, you need to clean up the shooting techniques.
