Can you add a graduated filter in FCPX )

I need to darken a sky ( as I exposed for the foreground in some landscape footage) so can I do this in final cut pro, with buying an expensive after effect ?

If After effects is the only way can anybody recommend a good one.

thanks

Neil

sure:
select your clip
in the color corrections, you'll notice a tiny 'apply mask' button
use the handles to give it the right shape (e.g a wide rectangle)
use the handles to define gradient
in the color pad, select in or outside mask
do color correction to your needs ....

I have a gradient overlay like this in both an effect and a generator format for free.
