Problem Exporting XML FCPX 10.0.2

Hello,

Trying to export my timeline to my editor. I select from the project library, go to File > Export XML and the XML file contains nothing for him to import.

Any ideas?

Do you both have 10.0.2? That's pretty old.

My idea, which you may not want to hear, is to update to 10.0.8. - 10.0.02 is barely the same app. You should make copies of your events,projects, and the application (just compress it, or make a copy of it in another folder) before you update. If something goes wrong, just delete the "new" version of X, put everything back, and you're right back where you were...

What program is the exported XML being opened in?

XML from 10.0.2 is pretty much useless for anything, what is your editor using to import? Xto7? XtoproAudio convert? Resolve9? Your editor may need an older version of any of those softwares as the XML version has moved to version1.2.

I'm just curious if there is a reason you haven't updated in more than a year? Pre 10.0.6 is the FCPX that people can justifiably dislike, but after 10.0.6 it's a whole new ball game.
