Might help keep your Mac Pro up to speed until the new one arrives, certainly cheaper than a K5000

Does anyone know how far back into the MaPro line this can be installed? I couldn't find it on their site.

If you're referring to the GeForce 680 EVGA, it's compatible with Mac Pros as far back as late 2008 models (3,1).

I'm seriously stumped on this one.

I currently have a Late 2008 Mac Pro with 8x3.0Ghz which is technically a beast but it's getting sluggish. I was gonna get one of those bad boy GPUs and add some more RAM to prolong it's life but I feel like I'm delaying the inevitable. This card, however is a powerful card for someone in my case, as it's the only up-to-date card that's been released that fully supports OpenCl, OpenGL and has 2Gb of dedicated graphical memory.

If anyone is interested in purchased my 8-core Mac Pro and getting one of these cards for it, let me know.
