File size difference after Duplicate Project

File size difference after Duplicate Project was created by Bobbyco
I'm archiving projects in the following way with 10.0.8:
1. Create a Sparse disk image
2. Dragging a Project to the new image
I then intend to delete the projects from the original source disk.
I am moving 5 Projects to the image.
After the 5 Projects moved I see that the total file size in the image is 16.9GB while the total file size of the 5 Projects on the original drive is 27+ GB.
Can someone explain this difference? Am I not "backing up" everything I expect I am from the Final Cut Projects folder?
Thanks, Bob
