Is DaViinci Resolve (Free version) better than color correction in FCPX?

So I'd like to start with the Free version of DaVinci Resolve. Is it better than the color correction in FCPX and if so or if not why add it to your workflow. Is it just more work? Is it more work that drastically improves the outcome, then justified? I'm not shooting any kind of "raw" format yet, just DSLR and compressed AVCHD, H.264, etc.?

Thanks.

It is way better than FCP X at color correction, it is more work for sure but worth it in the end, I prefer to send it to someone who works resolve all the time. There are a tone of little tricks and tools that resolve has that FCP X does not even begin to have.

Trouble to me is I don't quite get the logic behind the UIs that have nod-based element.

When I learned Shake and Color I felt like I was lost in forest :(
