10.0.8 logging behavior

Hi,

It seems 10.0.8 changed logging behavior.
Before 10.0.8, applying keyword would highlight this KW in event browser list. Hitting Tab would get to the keyword Notes column...
Now for me, when applying keyword, highlight reverts to parent clip name. So, Tab gets to Clip Notes column...
And selecting the keyword to write a note modify the playhead position...

Here's a video to get my point :

Do you have the same behavior ?

I suspect that this is a change by design. It was made in 10.0.6. I'm guessing the thinking is that the user is more likely to want to continue working on the clip itself rather than the keyword. By selecting the keyword, as the application did in earlier versions, it returned the playhead to the beginning of the keyword selection. I think the user is more likely to want to continue from where he or she is rather than returning to the beginning of the selection. That's just my surmise. You could make a feature request to change it back. Maybe the best compromise, if it's even possible, would be to select the keyword and not move the playhead, though this would be awkward in instance where you want to activate a keyword selection and the playhead doesn't move there. This would be an added frustration for me.

You're right, just checked in 10.0.6 and it's the same behavior.
I guess I didn't realize that because I logged my last project on 10.0.5.

Then I could hit tab, keyword highlighted, tab, entering note. Shift Tab to go back to filmstrip.
And playhead did stay where I left it.
It was so fluid and convenient, why did it have to change ?
