Anyone using this piece of equipment. I just received mine today. I found some 10.0.5 maps from the site but not liking them. they're not what i really use all the time. Anybody got any words on it?

I used my MC Transport with FCP 7 constantly and loved it. I find with skimming and such, I don't use it with FCP X any more.

No clue about Contour, sorry. Guess this is a useless reply. I just don't recommend controllers for FCP X. That's just me. Some folks really like them. I just find scrubbing and the really simple keyboard short cuts super fast with X. I also use a Magic Trackpad, which allows for scrolling and stuff with swipes.

I have the Magic Mouse and Trackpad as well. I love using the mouse for moving the timeline around where I need it. I tried incorporating the Trackpad in but just couldn't get a feel for it. I eventually was just using it for the blade tool, ( a two finger swipe to cut). Eventually I just ended up hitting "B" and using the mouse.

So far I worked a lil bit last night and today and am loving the Contour. No more fumbling on the keyboard. I just have to decide which buttons I want assigned for which shortcuts...but that's just my personal pref.

You can use the Magic Mouse to sideways scroll the timeline. Just make sure swipe to different spaces is turned off in prefs. Then use two fingers to side scroll. I do it all the time.

Yeah Seanus...that's what I do as well. Nothing beats that aspect of it. I mainly using the Contour for tools, undo, redo, zoom timeline, j,k,l, render selection, render all....which i may be changing to delete and something else.
