Not sure whether this is directly linked to 10.0.8 but I'm editing a small multi cam clip and when ever I start playing the clip the MBP beings to blow a gail with its fans. After looking in the Activity Monitor FCPX is using a GB of 'real mem' and around 99 threads so something isn't right. My Events and Projects are on my external TB G Raid drive.

Doesn't matter what drive it is on, the GPU gets maxed out doing multiclips on a laptop. Mine does that, too.
