Hello. I'm shooting 1080i 24pa on an HPX170. Editing in FCPX 10.0.8

Playback is fine in my camera.

Playback is fine on the Import Media window.

Playback AFTER import is disastrous.

I'm removing pulldown, to achieve true 1080p...but the audio is out of sync and completely cuts off about 75% of the way through EACH clip. It's this way on the timeline, in the event browser, even (outside of FCPX) in Finder and QuickTime.

I have googled and googled and googled some more. I've lost a days worth of editing and need to figure out how to fix this before I pull all of my hair out. :(

What's your samplerate on audio? And what do you mean by 24pa?

24pA, 24p advanced. It's the mode you shoot in for true progressive on Panasonic cameras.

Sample Rate is 48 kHz.

I have the same camera and have never had issues. But I've not imported anything since 10.0.6 update. I'll test mine out and see if I can replicate the issue. Will report back.

BenB, can you share your settings with me? I've tried everything, posted on numerous forums and still haven't found a solution.
