Sony XAVC Support

I don't have one of these cameras, and am looking for a couple of test clips to use. So if anyone is using one of these, can you confirm if the 10.0.8 update still requires the Sony XAVC plugin or not?

I have a 55. Works amazing, even the 4K XAVC files.

You just have to get Sony's plugin to let FCPX see the files in the Import panel.

The plugin re-wraps the camera original .mxfs into .movs (but they remain XAVC codec)

I was surprised how well the XAVC files worked on my 2008 MacPro, it's a great camera as well.

Well, you're going to be hard pressed to find 4K Alexa footage

I might have a 4K XAVC clip for you. It would be already wrapped as a Quicktime, since if I gave you just an MXF out of a camera folder, it likely wouldn't import.

It'd be a huge upload, so it'd be overnight or something.

Hello dude..Did you buy the camera that's why you just use for result checking or any other purpose for the use.If you purchased the camera then you must check the result of the camera and after that you buy.
