have used the Sparsebundel image event/project method for a while now, but heard about someone with big problems going that way, the disk image got errors and refused to open.. would be a disaster if that happened, has anyone tried that, and how do you secure not to experience that?
thanks

It is just a data file, like any other, and all data files can become corrupted. Even your .mov files. That's why it is so important to do
daily backups
of all your data.
Personally, I've never seen a DMG get corrupted, I'm sure it is very rare, but again, just a data file like any other.

I'm extremely paranoid about this method too. I won't touch it with a barge pole. Especially when Apple haven't sanctioned it.
I'm hoping there's something coming soon that will make the need for these irrelevant.
