Does anyone know if there is an FCPX plugin that does HSL qualifiers better than the built-in color masking? I know DaVinci Resolve does this very well, but I would like to stay inside FCPX because I lose my Neat Video denoise and Filmconvert effects when I send the XML to Resolve.

Thanks

Not sure. But you could always send to resolve for color grading, roundtrip back to FCPX and apply your Neat Video and Filmconvert effects.

Have you looked through the filters in motion? They have some great color tools filters that you can publish to FCPX.

The color mask is a simplified HSL mask tool.

The "Keyer" that comes with FCP X / Motion 5 can be used as an HSL mask, also.

As for third party, I enjoy the two that come with CoreMelt's Pigment suit.

Technicolor's new color assist plugin seems to be a good alternative, although it would be better if I could figure out a good Resolve workflow.
