What is the right way to clean the FCPX was created by victorfranca
After some strong editions, the FCPX take long to open, even with an iMac with 18GB of RAM. I wonder what the right way to clear the events and projects without having to delete. Like what Premiere does, you create a timeline editing, save, and then he gets in a separate folder without weighing software.
Anyone know if this can be done?

Your best bet is to use a cheap little app called Event Manager X. I've been using it pretty much since it came out and it's invaluable. Really quick to turn Events/Projects off and on rather than archiving.

I'm fortunate enough to be on an Xsan, and that allows the user to add and remove Events and Projects from FCPX. A very nice feature, but Event Manager X is highly recommended for all other types of media storage.

I can also confirm the high value of Event Manager X. Although you can just do it on your own, but but EMX just makes everything convenient.

Hi,
I've installed Event Manager X to make my FCPX load faster, and to "remove" Events and Projects that I'am finish using. I use FCPX to do all my files that I have imported from the camera.
In this process I made a observation, and that is the use of EMX makes my backup-solution whit CCC to an external disk (NAS) hopeless(time consuming). As a have set CCC to copy over new and delate (not present any more) files from the source to the designation, the hole backup-process starts taking very long time.
How do you do this - or approach this "problem"?

CCC backup guide approved by Bombich Software
is here
. Mine run overnight automatically, so I don't have to bother with anything.
But Event Manger X is very valuable for managing databases.
