Count Up Clock Effect - Need Help

I'm trying to show that the installation of a product takes 15 minutes and need a count up timer simulation. I would like a stopwatch effect (analog is best, digital would be ok) to be running on screen during a 12 second clip showing an install of a product that would count up to 15 minutes. Anyone know of a plugin that could do that for FCP X or Motion 5?

How about shooting an actual stopwatch against a green screen, supering it over the footage and retiming it? Old school...

Hi anickt, thanks for the reply, though that would be a solution I'm not sure the client would be up for paying for us to book a green screen and shoot it. Although, now that you mention it I could shoot the timer on my iPhone and just mask it out.

I was hoping for either a plugin or suggestion as to how to create it in Motion 5. I've messed around in motion and didn't see any obvious options.

Search "clock" in the content folder in the Motion library

Look at the "Timecode" Generator in FCP X. You can set it to read out only Hours, minutes, seconds. You could use that same Text Generator in Motion, add some graphics, make a nice digital stopwatch looking Generator.
