10.0.7 update problems... was created by aen
So... I just updated to 10.0.7.
Launched the program, total freeze.
restarted the computer, launched the program, and spinning beach ball for... well at least half an hour now.
Any experience here?

Please give us more details. What version of OS X are you running? What kind of machine are you running it on? How much memory? Any previous problems with FCP X? Have you tried trashing your preferences?

Whoops!
Ok, sorry, I'm sure more info is always helpful.
Im in OS 10.7.5
2.4 ghz
12 GB ram
FCP was running really slow earlier today, so I checked for updates... and you know the rest!
(beach ball is still spinning)
Haven't tried trashing preferences. I'm not really sure what that entails?
Thanks for coming to my aid.

Download the free "Preference Manager" from Digital Rebellion (dot com).
What model Mac is that? Don't put Events and Projects on your system drive, either.

Well, Thanks!
I trashed the preferences with that handy dandy application. Looks like I'm starting over on the current project, but at least I'm up and running again!
