How to I get a file project from Motion to FCPX?

I have been working on a project in FCPX. I´m pretty much done, but want to add some text, motion and tracking.

I was recommended to share the file as master(ProRess 422), and video only.
When I´m done making the text, how do I get it back to FCPX with the original sound?

Hi Neguah,

I think the easiest way would be to export the movie file (which from motion is video only, I guess) and then re-import that clip into FCPX. There you have two possibilities:

1) Just put the new clip on top of the original clip (Shortcut Q) and push the original clip's opacity down to 0

or

2) Detach the original clip's audio and then replace the original clip with the new clip. Audio should then be in sync.

I'd connect it (just in case you ever want to go back to the original) and just attach the new one as a Connected Clip. But yes, to excellent ways to do it.

I would use an audition. Similar to connecting your clip but using a great feature of FCPX.

I´ll try that next time.
I did what Overturf wrote.

Good to know I have other options.

What is connection?

A Connected Clip? You edit a clip into the timeline as a connected clip with "Q". Q, Connected edit. W, insert edit. E, append edit. If you don't know those, I'd highly recommend proper training, such as macProVideo.
