No. But Now I've seen the update, I'm not sure how important that was. We'll see.

"A fix for an issue that may cause Logic Pro to become unresponsive when using certain plug-ins"

That's normal, nothing to get excited about. Lots of OS updates have Logic fixes that are OS based. I'd not read anything in to it, realistically. A bug fix is not laying bricks for anything. A bug fix is business as usual.

And with NAMM now past, the field for when LogicX might be released is wide open again...

at ones sorry for my english, some text myself, some google translate. and i am new in this forum.

Some days ago i wrote a letter to FCP X support team and there's no answer. then 21.03 one more letter to media.help@apple and one more personal to Tim Cook. aaand, Tim did not answer me.

but i have answer from customer-relations@apple i desided to place it here.

Dear Sergey,

Thank you for your email.

Occasionally, Apple pre announces particular feature sets or other preliminary information about products still under development. Product specifications are not final and are subject to change by the time a product is officially announced. Customers should not make a purchasing decision until the product is formally released.

Please keep an eye on Apple's web site, at www.apple.com , for the latest product information.

We appreciate your support of Apple products and services.

Best Regards,

Ashley

@BenB thanks for the clarification

@Atamanov It would have been stupendous if you got them to change their entire strategy. But as you can see their responses are always politically correct and "safe". But nice try

At this point, I know that with my setup, I, again I, have no problem creating what I need to create for my customers. Any improvements and updates that would expand my tool set and editing platform are of course always welcome. So the anticipation is there. I am excited for something potentially new. But my system is smooth, fast, and has greatly decreased my start to end time. Anything Apple releases would be a welcome bonus, as long as it is stable and works with no quirks.

Yup. After 112 days the clock has reset to zero.

But there'll always be another update!

It's too early to tell if the duration for this one is just an anomaly, or if the pace of updates is slowing from the avg 70 it was up to 10.0.5.

Hopefully at NAB Apple will give us some new data to talk about.

A 2-year anniversary launch at the end of June (post WWDC) would be over 80 days from today. feature updates have come along faster than that.

A cooling off period is welcome. But it will be tempting to start a new discussion thread depending on what Apple has to say at NAB.

Apple is starting a new PR blitz for FCP X this coming Thursday.
There are two new entries to the In Action page.
Things will start moving along soon.
There have been developers snooping around some major feature production studios in Hollywood lately.

Hmmm, maybe we've been overlooking something.

Perhaps the marketing blitz is the prologue for some interesting third party support... which Apple/FCPX of course benefits from.

You mean like yesterday's announcement that CoreMelt has teamed up with Imagineering to incorporate planar tracking in SliceX?

That's a good example Ben.
A marketing campaign isn't going to void of new product. I think in this case Apple tweaked a little under the hood so third parties have a solid foundation to demo their new products.

People shouldn't take lightly having things like Planar Tracking available within an NLE. I suspect we'll see a few more interesting things on the way.

Yes, and I know one developer who is working on a true 3D text plugin. Not sure when/if they'll ever release it, but it is very possible. Also, look at 3D Supercharger V2. It is very rough, but the developer does plan on refining it and updating it eventually. That does more than other NLEs are doing, rough as it may be.
