Update?????? was created by Don Rumsey
So I've been away from the internet. (Had it on the phone but limited). So i'm coming back and I don't see much news on when the FCPX/Magic Bullet fix is going to be. Seems like there isn't much action on this site either. Is everyone pretty busy?

Obviously we can't know for sure. But based on past schedules I think we're only a couple of weeks away from another maintenance update. Hopefully that will address the plug-in issue.

I have been thinking about this too; all quiet on this front - no news updates from Apple, or Red Giant or Neat Video.
I am still on 10.5 at the moment; I wont be upgrading to 10.8 until its confirmed that the plug ins are working.

A recent post from Vlad at Neat Video says:
"Apple guys have confirmed that the problem is still in FCPX itself, not in OSX. Updated OSX might just reduce the chances of the problem showing up, but the bug itself is still there in FCPX. Apple have a solution, they know how to fix the bug, but the fix has not been included in 10.0.7 (not clear why).
So it looks like we all need to wait for FCPX 10.0.8. Until then, FCPX will not work correctly with plug-ins and perhaps even without any plug-ins. It is general bug in FCPX code, it may show up anytime during rendering.
The safe way to use FCPX for now would be to stay with 10.0.5."
So it seems Apple is communicating to plug-in developers.

Perhaps they'll surprise us and launch 10.1! Certainly should be an update shortly if they keep to their release pattern

Considering an upcoming NAB and possible CS7 release from Adobe, having a big 10.1 release would be great. Big on features, big on stability. A man can dream, right?
Anyhow, the news that Apple is aware of the issues with 3rd party plugins, and has a solution is re-assuring.

I'm very doubtful of a 10.1 in the near term. If Apple have any big announcements to make, I think they'll be closer to (or possibly at) NAB in April. But I'm equally doubtful that we won't see ANY updates before April, that's why I'm putting my non-existant $$ on 10.0.8 maintenance update. This plug-in bug needs to get fixed. And I think that's especially important if there are any big 3rd party announcements to come at NAB as well (which I think there will be).

Magic Bullet Tweeted this earlier today:
"Folks using FCPX 10.0.7 w/ MB Looks - someone posted that increasing the clip scale to 100.5% avoids the big FCPX Bug. Can anyone verify?"
Might make using MBL with 10.0.7 possible?
