FCPX Archiving, just the project/timeline shots was created by mnno
Hi everybody,
I'm just starting out here on FCP X. Like it so far. One thing puzzles me though. I want to back up my final edit i.e. keeping the shots I used, and chucking the master media. Is this possible in FCP X?
Thanks!
Menno

You can archive and duplicate a project with used clips, but there is no trimming with handles.

Thanks Tom. So 'used clips' means: all of the source material? That's a real letdown...

Not all the source footage. It means if any part of a clip is used in a project, the whole clip will be copied. No clip trimming, (Feature request?) Any clips that are not used at all will not be copied. There is also a function to copy everything of course.

Too bad, hope this will be available in the (near) future. Thanks for helping out Tom!
