Hi everybody!
I'm a videographer, currently residing in Amsterdam, and I've just found this amazing site and here's my first post request for some help!!
Since 2 days ago, each time I try to use on any project some files from a particular Event, I get this message:
"Final Cut Pro cannot save changes to Projects and Events.
The disk where your projects or Events are located may be full or unavailable, projects or Events may have moved, or permissions may have changed.
To avoid losing your work, quit Final Cut Pro."
My setup:
Macbookpro 2012, OSX 10.8.2, 16GB ram, SSD 256, FCPX 10.0.7, work files on external hard drive.
The stuff I did until now:
00 Isolate the problem: I'm working with only 1 event at this moment, and a new project
01 try to work on another Mac (problem persists)
02 Use backup files from events and projects
03 Repair permissions w/ Disk Utility
04 Repair permissions w/ Disk Warrior
05 Ignore ownership on the projects/event Hard drive, read&write permission for all users
06 Change project to another drive
07 Work with project on the own mac hard drive
08 Trash preferences of FCPX
09 Clean install FCPX
10 Clean all caches
11 Use Pro Maintenance tools of Digital Rebellion:
1. Corrupt clip finder (all clips are fine)
2. Quick fix (everything OK)
3. Project rebuild, (ok)
12 Hardrive hardware check
13 Deleted on the Event: Analysis Files, Render Files, Transcoded Media (I am using the original files)
- Deleted on the project: Render Files
14 Divide and Conquer (even if I move all the original event clip files elsewhere, and start FCPX I get all the red missing media warnings, and shortly afterwords the same Error message.
15 Inside FCPX: I tried to move the event clips to another event. I still got the same error.
16 Managed to create new proxy media from the event, and work from there: still the same result
I'm out of ideas at this point!
So, know.. I'm more focused in at least salvaging my favorite selections on the Event, but I don't know how to even do that.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
