Is it possible to do this (I'll try to explain what i am thinking of)

say you are filming and in the screen a TV or a frame or something is in the picture, is it possible to fill that frame with another of my clips and that clip will zoom in and replace the screen and the new clip is now showing on the screen.
sorry for my bad english, hope someone understood what i am thinking of ;)

anyone has an idea or a howto-guide or something ;)

thank you ;)

best regards
Freddy

It has been awhile, but I used to do this a lot on a long term project some time ago. It was fairly easy. But you'll need something like Motion and learn to use its tracking features.

Cover the screen with green screen material. Mark the corner with X's. The X's give you some tracking points if the camera is moving. If the camera isn't moving, much easier.

Place the "fake" screen on top of your original clip. Shrink it down to size, rotate it, skew it, whatever you need, and place it over the real screen.

I'm sure that I just flew through that too quickly.

Ben is the super-pro here at the boards (no offence meant!), and he gave you a reply, how professionals would do it …

but sometimes, Motion, Greenscreen, Tracking, etc is a bit 'over the top'.-

As a hobbyist, I would simply use the DISTORT settings in the Inspector for your overlay. It's a bit tricky to place the clip 'over' the TVscreen, but if you didn't do the recording free hand (=shakey) you should manage it.

key-frame the settings to 'zoom out' the overlay to full-screen.-
