I am having problem exporting WMV from FCP X. I update to FCP X 10.0.7 monday but I haven't export to WMV like in 3 month so I don't know if the WMV problem was with FCP X 10.0.6.
I have Flip4Mac 2.4.4 Studio Version to export to WMV. I did a test, I export a 3 second range of a 2 minute video with video and audio and the result is the audio is not the audio selected and the image is much longer 52 second, 3 seconds of the image I selected and the other 49 second of freeze image. I did another test I created a new project with only my 3 second clip with audio and video and it export perfect. My problem is only when I export to WMV and do a range selection. Those anybody else have this problem.

Thanks,

I gave this a quick try and had similar results. I'd suggest you send feedback to Apple and also contact Flip4Mac support. I will do the same.

I have Flip4Mac/FlipPlayer 3 installed on OSX 10.8.2 using FCPX 10.0.7.
I built a WMV preset in Compressor.
Added it to my Destinations in FCPX.
Selected a 5 second range and exported.

Resultant encode was 6:20.
The audio was from the head of the Storyline even though the selection was several minutes in.
I tested the file in FlipPlayer as well as QT X.

Please do contact Telestream about this.

Share to Compressor shows same issue.

As a workaround you may want to export the range as a master file and use that directly in Compressor.
