I previously used to record interviews where I would start the camera and zoom h1 recorder - and then stop it at the end of each segment or question. I was left with in the end a handful of video clips and audio clips. The more times I stopped and started - the harder or more painstaking it was to track down correct clips - and then hit 'synchronize' with their corresponding audio clip.

Lately I've been letting the audio run as one long track (the entire interview) and I import the entire audio wave file. I then import all of my camera clips. Then I do a simple 'Select All' and including the audio and choose new multi-cam clip (even though I just have one camera). What I get in the end is a single clip with synchronized audio and black space/dead space between the camera clips where there was audio recording but my camera was off. It's perfect for me and so much faster then individually creating synchronized clips for each little camera clip.

Does that automatically sync the audio to the video or do you have to manually do that? Another thing that might help is using favorites, this way you can hide everything you don't want.

Yeah it syncs audio and video - then I can easily remove camera audio and just use the higher quality audio from the mic.

It works great - I'm just glad I don't have to keep clicking through 15 different audio and camera files ands try to match which audio goes with which camera shot - it's one click and it's all synced up for me. love it!
