When I import .mov files which have clean audio they are getting dropout and clicks and pops all through them in FCX. What is causing this - a wrong setting?

Hi Tom
They are movs which are converted flvs. The GetInfo on one of the bad ones says:
480x360
Codecs H.264, AAC
Audio channels 2
Total bit rate: 628
Encoding software Lafv53.31.100
Is that what you need to know?
Thanks
Doug

This media is completely not suitable for use in a production environment. It needs to be converted to QuickTime ProRes with uncompressed 48k audio. I don't know what the frame rate is, but that is likely to be a significant cause of the problem.
The smallest frame size FCP edits in a project is 640x480. You need to convert the media to that size in ProRes for use in FCP. You do not want to scale up H.264 within the application.

That would be my recommendation for the media. Make sure the frame rate is in a video standard used in FCP.
