Changing a colour in FCPX was created by sophiawhite

I wanted to learn how to edit the orange tip of an airsoft gun and change it to a black color in FCPX or Motion 5. How can I do this?

Basically you're doing a "qualifier", otherwise called an HSL key, or a "Color mask" as FCP X calls it. Here's info on doing it in FCP X.
