How to disable audio crossfade on a dissolve

I can't figure out how to apply a dissolve (fade to color for instance) WITHOUT it affecting the audio portion i.e.: crossfading the audio. I want to maintain my audio hard cuts. I also notice that if I add a dissolve earlier in the timeline, FCP will then create audio crossfades after that point where there were none before. What am I missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't remember this happening before :(

Double click the clip in the timeline to expand the audio then add the dissolve.

I just learned this trick myself a couple of days ago, it works great. One thing I'll add though is to be sure to drag the transition to just the video track.

Once you double-click the audio portion again to close it up, you can now drag different transitions on top on the one you just added and only the video portion will be affected. I love this tip!
