Magenta flash during transitions

I purchased FxFactory Pro and when I use several of their transitions, such as Accordion. I get a single frame with a magenta flash. Their support person says it is a known Apple issue. I have no other info. He suggested using ProRes but the clips are already in the Event and I don't have the option to transcode.

Anyone else experience this? I did search but couldn't find this listed on the forum.

You actually do have the option to transcode. Select one or more clips in the Browser and either right-click or go to the File menu and chose the "Transcode Media" option.

So you got the "Pro" version, eh? Should we be expecting some cool and unique plugins from you anytime?

It only allows proxy transcode not optimized... Is there any way to transcode to ProRes 422 or higher?

When the "Optimized" option is grayed out that means they already are ProRes.

If the original camera format can be edited with good performance, the “Create optimized media” option will be dimmed. Try creating ProRes copies in Compressor and see if that cures the problem. Does your Footage originate on HDV? Is playback quality set to 'High Quality' in Preferences?

Correct, I should have said it is already optimized, not already ProRes. No coffee yet this morning...

But you don't have to use Compressor. As a quick alternative you can highlight one or more clips in the Browser, use Share to export Master File to the ProRes flavor of your choice.
