Backup event/projects

how do you guys do backups of your event and project files?

in my setup, I use my media raid for all files, its Raid 5 and therefore "safe"

in FCP7, I always took the project file and copy to another drive, on a USB stick and on the cloud, but in X it will take some time to do that, do to that all the files have the same name, currentversion.fcpevent one will need to do a lot of manual clicks to back up those files

I use "Time Machine" to back up all my projects and events. It's great, it runs every hour and never causes any problems/interruptions to my work. This is probably helped by having background rendering turned off.

I tell time machine to ignore the folders where I keep my rushes and have an "Automator" folder action set up to back them up to a completely separate drive the instant they are transferred to my Raid from camera (or other source).

sound like a solution, but I dont want to backup the media files and all the other stuff in the folder, only the even/projekt file, and will therefore need to do this manual on every folder, that a lot of clicks

but my event/project files is not located on the system drive, therefore a system backup wont do the trick

Time Machine is not restricted to a system drive. You can use Pro Versioner as a project only autosave vault.
