I am getting these weird thumbnails in my events folders. I can play them back in the viewer or if I mouse over them in the event folder they will show. But as soon as I mouse on another clip they revert to no image, just a shadow of the video and audio shows up.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Those are compound clips, though I'm not sure why they're appearing like that. Might need to know the full specs of your system.

I deleted the thumbnail folder and then reopened FCPX. All the thumbnails are regenerating and seems to have solved this issue.
