I have a mpg4 file that is 4.6GB. It is too large for a flash drive fat 32 format...was told limit is 4gb??. I am using fat32 format because I want movie to play on a mac or pc. What is the easiest way to compress it so it will go on the flash drive. I have compressor...but do not know how to use it yet.
I tried a right click on the file and selected compress. this made a zip file which also will not drag to the flash drive....get error message "...too large for volumes format"
thanks

If you have access to a Windows PC, format the drive as NTSF.
Or you could use Disk Utility to format it as ExFat, but then older versions of Windows won't be able to read it (VISTA for example).
Or use something like DropBox.

4.6GB? That should fit onto a DVD (if you still have a burner)
