Thunderbolt or Firewire, That IS the question... was created by gloryhornetboi
Hello fellow 'forumers'...
I'm new here but regularly check in, so thanks to everyone for any help you may have inadvertently given m over the past few months since I switched to FCPX.
Ive recently upgraded my RAM on my Macbook Pro to 16GB, my next move is to upgrade the external I have my events and projects on (at the minute a USB 2.0). So my question is, if im running just one drive for Events/Projects, is it going to be worth me paying the extra for a Thundebolt, or should I just go for Firewire as the difference won;t be noticeable...
Thanks in advance for your time!

The difference is GREATLY noticeable! If you can afford T'bolt, get it. No matter the configuration, if it's T'bolt, it is way faster than anything else. This advice from first hand experience.
